This page explains, in plain English, what information this app collects, why, and how it's handled. If anything here is unclear, you can always reach out — contact info is at the bottom.
When you upload a letter, the image is sent securely to Anthropic's Claude API to read and explain it. It is not used to train Anthropic's models. If you choose to save the letter to "My Letters," the image and its explanation are stored in our database (hosted by Supabase) tied to your account, so you can view it again later.
We don't sell or share your letters or personal information with advertisers or data brokers. Your information is only ever shared with the service providers that make the app work:
You can delete any saved letter at any time from the "My Letters" page — this removes it permanently from our database. You can also ask us to delete your entire account and all associated data by contacting us below.
Saved letters and account information are kept for as long as your account exists, or until you delete them yourself. If your account is inactive for an extended period, we may delete stored data at our discretion.
We use industry-standard tools (Supabase and Stripe) to protect your information, and all traffic to this site is encrypted (HTTPS). That said, no online service can guarantee perfect security, so please avoid uploading letters containing extremely sensitive identifiers (like a full Social Security number) if you can redact or crop them first.
This app is not directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect information from children under 13.
If this policy changes in a meaningful way, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
